What is it:

Curry chicken is also a dish originating from the Indian subcontinent, common delicacy in the cuisine of the Indian subcontinent, cuisine of the Southeast Asia as well as in the cuisine of the Caribbean {where it is usually referred to as curry chicken}. Succulent and juicy to the bone, curry chicken and curry goat are two very popular dishes at many Jamaican gatherings. 

 

Jamaicans have developed a special love for curry! You will need garlic, curry, allspice, thyme, scotch bonnet pepper, black pepper and vinegar. The meat is first seasoned with all the spices and allowed to marinate. Heat the cooking oil with the curry powder until the color starts to change. Finally the meat is added and allowed to slowly simmer until tender and cooked to perfection.

 

What to eat with:

White rice or rice and peas.
